Dr Neil Alexander is President Bucephalus Consulting. He is a seasoned nuclear industry executive with experience leading commercial organizations, industry associations and academic institutions in all aspects of nuclear technology including small modular reactors (SMRs), isotope production and decommissioning, and waste management. He includes leading the Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation and the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries amongst his career responsibilities. Prior to that, he served in a number of senior executive roles in the Canadian nuclear industry, including: President and General Manager of Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear Canada, President of the Organization of CANDU Industries, and as Vice-President of Business Development with SNC-Lavalin Nuclear. An early proponent of SMRs, he has written and presented extensively on the issues and is an active contributor to LinkedIn discussion platform. Neil is a graduate of the University of Birmingham in the UK and has a PhD in metallurgy and materials science. He lives in southern Ontario.
Ross Holden is a management consultant with over two decades’ experience in Indigenous policy and community relations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Ross has served as the Vice President, Indigenous Governance and Self-Determination at the Ottawa-based Institute on Governance, Senior Advisor Aboriginal Relations with both the Nuclear Waste Management Organization and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, and has provided policy advice as an employee of numerous Government of Canada departments, including Natural Resources Canada, Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada, the Northern Pipeline Agency, and Health Canada. He currently resides in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.
